Sensei Sylvain Massé
Sensei Sylvain Massé began practicing karate in 1992. He received his fourth black belt (yondan) in Japan in 2015. Karate started out as just a combat sport for him, but it has over time become what defines him:
“karate is what I am today; it reflects my values, it is at the heart of my life experiences. It has transformed me both mentally and physically throughout my life.”
Sensei Laurie-Ann Jasmin
Sensei Laurie Ann Jasmin began practicing karate in 2004. She received her fourth black belt (yondan) in April 2023 with Shihan Shinichi Sotodate. For Sensei Laurie, karate is a journey of self-discovery, inner peace, and a way of life. It is an opportunity to discover oneself and others, to develop respect, overcome weakness, and practice humility. As she says in almost every class,
“never ever give up and always rise up to be the best version of yourself!”

Sensei Fayçal Ouaglal
Sensei Fayçal Ouaglal was first introduced to Martial Arts when he was seven years old with Judo. He continued with Taekwondo and then on to Karate Wando-Ryu in France in 1992. He switched to Kyokushin Karate when he moved to Montreal in 2004. He received his fourth black belt (yondan) in April 2023 with Shihan Shinichi Sotodate. Sensei Fayçal believes that karate builds self-confidence, but that the more one learns, the more one realizes that
“humility must be a constant companion.”
Sensei Luc Lussier
Sensei Luc Lussier began practicing karate in 1990. He received his fourth black belt (yondan) in April 2023 with Shihan Shinichi Sotodate. For Sensei Luc,
